Stand-by-me Bereavement Support Service for Children and Families in North Hertfordshire  was formed as a charity in 2014 from the outcome of a pilot project created and conceived by Step2 a Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust  children’s emotional health and well-being   early intervention service.

As a newly formed charity it complies with the rules and regulations of the Charity Commission and has a  constitution and Trustee board who meet regularly, financial account and policies and procedures for the governance for its day to day running . As a growing charity it is in the process of registering with the Charity Commission to obtain a Charity number.

Stand-by-me is committed to the welfare and well being of all children, young people and adults that it comes into contact with and therefore has a policy for safeguarding children and works in accordance with the policies and procedures of Hertfordshire Safeguarding Children Board
