A Paw-some Day at Stevenage Dog Watch
The Stand-by-me team, a big thank you to Jane and Sandra, had a wonderful afternoon at the Stevenage Dog Watch Doggie Day, held at Hampson Park.
With a fun dog show, agility demonstrations, charity stalls and plenty of four-legged visitors, it was a fantastic community event with something for everyone to enjoy.
Naturally, we couldn’t attend a dog show without some canine representation of our own! We were delighted when Dulcie, one of our volunteer’s dogs, achieved an impressive first place and fourth place in two of the classes. We are proudly claiming those as Team Stand-by-me victories!
Our newest recruit, Luna, also joined us for the day and did an excellent job of modelling a very fetching Stand-by-me bandana. Keep an eye on our website and social media pages, as these bandanas may soon be available to purchase.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our stall to say hello, learn more about our work and show their support. It was lovely to meet so many members of the local community and their dogs.
We would also like to thank Stevenage Dog Watch and everyone involved in organising such an enjoyable event. We had a brilliant time and are already looking forward to joining you again next year.
