Stand-by-me & Knebworth Golf Club – Stronger Together Through Golf
A free Activity Day for young people aged 12–17 who have experienced bereavement
Stand-by-me is delighted to be partnering with Knebworth Golf Club to offer a fully funded Stronger Together Through Golf Activity Day for young people aged 12–17 who have experienced the death of someone close to them.
This day uses golf as a fun, creative and supportive activity to help young people explore emotions in a safe way, connect with others, and develop helpful coping skills at their own pace.
What the day is about
The aim of this Activity Day is to provide a safe and creative environment where young people can explore emotional expression through golf. This may include making sense of grief-related feelings, building connections, and developing coping skills.
We also want to help young people recognise that golf (and activities like it) can be a useful way to:
- Express feelings in a different way
- Release emotions safely through movement and focus
- Take healthy breaks when things feel overwhelming
- Support moments of reflection and emotional regulation
What to expect
- Learn golf with professional coaches
- Take part in fun games and challenges
- Try something new in a relaxed, supportive setting
- Meet other young people who may have had similar experiences
- Spend time outdoors in a calm environment
No experience is needed and all equipment is provided.
Light Lunch Provided – please advise of any allergies or intolerances when completing the consent form.
