Young Ambassadors Programme
Our Young Ambassador programme offers a unique opportunity for bereaved young people who have benefited from our services to work alongside the Stand-by-me team.
This initiative aims to empower those who have experienced a bereavement and want to make a difference in the lives of others facing similar challenges.
Role & Impact
Young Ambassadors play a crucial role in our organisation by:
- Sharing their personal experiences with other bereaved young people and families
- Demonstrating that a positive future is possible, even in the darkest times
- Raising awareness about the needs of bereaved children
- Participating in fundraising activities and events
- Developing new skills in event organisation, marketing, fundraising, and public speaking
Activities & Involvement
Our Young Ambassadors have been involved in various impactful activities, such as:
- Speaking at community events to share their stories and promote understanding of childhood bereavement
- Organising and participating in fundraising events like sponsored walks or bake sales
- Contributing to the development of support resources for bereaved children
- Representing Stand-by-me at local and national forums on child bereavement
- Collaborating with our team to improve and expand our services
Through their involvement, Young Ambassadors not only help others but also gain valuable life skills and experiences. They become powerful advocates for bereaved children, ensuring that their voices are heard and their needs are understood within the wider community. By working alongside our dedicated team, these young people play an integral role in shaping the future of Stand-by-me and making a lasting difference in the lives of bereaved children and families.
