Celebrating Hugo – Winner of the Young Star Award 2025

We are beyond thrilled to share that Hugo, one of our dedicated Young Ambassadors for Stand-by-me Bereavement Support, has been honoured with the Young Star Award at the North Herts Council Hero’s Award Ceremony!

The event, held at Hitchin Town Hall yesterday, celebrated local heroes making a real difference in their communities, and Hugo is a truly deserving recipient. Having experienced bereavement himself, he understands firsthand the challenges that young people face when coping with loss. This personal experience has driven his passion for raising awareness and fundraising for Stand-by-me Bereavement Support, ensuring that bereaved children and young people in North Herts and Stevenage receive the vital support they need.

His dedication, resilience, and kindness shine through in everything he does, and this award is a well-earned recognition of his incredible efforts. Hugo’s commitment to supporting others through their grief makes him an inspiration to us all.
