Thank you, Ben Whelan!
A huge thank you to Ben Whelan for his incredible effort in raising £440 for Stand-by-me by taking on the Ride London Challenge, a gruelling 100-mile route, in May.
When asked why he chose to support Stand-by-me, Ben said, “I am hoping to raise awareness of the amazing job that Stand-by-me do at the toughest times for children, young people, and their families in North Hertfordshire.”
Ben was inspired to take on this personal challenge following his wife’s incredible efforts running the London Marathon last year. He humorously added, “Hopefully I will make it all the way round the 100-mile route without causing myself or anyone else any serious damage! (I’m also slightly dreading trying to get out of bed the next morning!).”
