Goodbye’s
At the end of April, we said a very special goodbye (and good luck!) to two amazing members of the Stand-by-me family.
After 10 incredible years with the charity, first as a volunteer and more recently as our Bereavement Support Manager, Lisa has headed off on a brand-new adventure, continuing her work supporting vulnerable children and families. Her compassion, dedication, and unwavering support for bereaved children and young people have made such a difference to so many lives over the years.
We also waved goodbye to Mia, who has been part of the charity for the past 10 years and is now setting off on an exciting new adventure starting in Australia We’re not jealous at all…
To celebrate everything Lisa and Mia have brought to Stand-by-me over the years, we held a goodbye and good luck celebration filled with laughter, memories, fizz, and plenty of well wishes from colleagues, volunteers, friends, and supporters.
They will both be hugely missed by everyone here and by so many families and community members who have known and worked with them over the years. Please join us in wishing them both the very best for their next chapters.
And while it’s goodbye to two familiar faces, we’re excited to say that new team members have now joined us… so watch this space for introductions coming soon.
