HUGE congratulations to our amazing Young Ambassador, Hugo!
Winner of the Lions 105A Area Young Ambassador Award 2026!
We are absolutely bursting with pride to share that Hugo was nominated for a Young Ambassador Award by the wonderful Letchworth & Baldock District Lions, recognising his incredible contribution as a YA for Stand-by-me Bereavement Support 💛
The nominees came from across the Lions 105A area (north of the Thames, covering Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire), and Hugo was selected as one of just five finalists, an achievement in itself!
Hugo then took on the challenge of delivering a 3-minute presentation to a packed room, followed by a 15-minute interview with three judges. He spoke with such passion, confidence and heart… and he absolutely smashed it.

Hugo has secured £550 for Stand-by-me, which will make a real difference to the children and young people we support. We can’t thank the Lions Club enough for their generosity and continued support 🙏
And the journey isn’t over yet… Hugo is now heading to the district final, where he has the chance to win a further £1,000 for Stand-by-me at an all-expenses-paid trip to Dudley 🥰
